Lee Baxter

Lee Baxter is a founding Board Member of African Environmental Film Foundation. She has been fortunate to see AEFF in action while visiting Simon Trevor in Kenya on several occasions. She is also on the board of directors for another African based foundation, The George Adamson / Tony Fitzjohn Wildlife Preservation Trust based in Kenya where she has also spent time.

Baxter has lived in San Francisco since 1970. She graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1974 and practiced law in San Francisco until she was appointed as a Commissioner to the San Francisco Superior Court. Thereafter, she was appointed to the bench in San Francisco and served as Judge of the San Francisco Superior Court until her retirement. She is also on the Board of Trustees of Smuin Ballet in San Francisco.

Baxter enjoys her family – her two daughters, two sons-in-law, and her two grandsons. She was married for forty-eight years to the late Dr. John D. Baxter, world-renowned scientist and medical visionary. She is an avid photographer and world traveler
